Feeling by StephHolmes Feeling by StephHolmes
- acrylic and charcoal on canvas, 16" x 20".

Heavy feelings and a week of delicious rain.

I wish I were a mermaid.
I would float on the ocean floor
collecting sticks and seathings.
That's all I'm really doing right now anyways
Floating around and collecting things off of the floor.

I don't even know what to say to tell you why you're wonderful. Sometimes I don't comment because I can't put my finger on what it is -- but your work always makes me feel something strong, something that's hidden under a leaf in my mind.

My heart just exploded.
Thank you for this kindness. This is what I want with my art and just my life in general, to connect with other people.

Awwww . . . honey, it's not kindness, just honesty. I think if more people tried to voice why they love the art they love, then there would be more connection in the world.

Sometimes I feel like a broken record, telling artists that their work makes me a little crazy in the best ways, but I guess it's not half bad to hear. ;3

That's some tangled expression right there. It's amazing, the extent to which timing determines how drifting feels. The same goes for collecting I suppose.

(Was this picture really taken in late '99?)

haha, 1999? No, unfortunately. I wish I would have been painting then. I was probably too busy wiggling loose the last of my baby teeth then.

Then your camera is confused.

The last of my baby teeth resisted the wiggling valiantly, I had two loose teeth for three weeks. It was awesome.
